Vela Luka Ensemble will perform:
Vrlicko Kolo: A silent dance, showing the strength of the people of Vrlika and the virtuosity of the male dancers.
Dances of Konavle: Two dances will be performed from the Dubrovnik region. Potkolo will be danced by the village (ensemble) and Poskocica is the time for the young girls to show off. Both are performed to the voice of a single instrument, the lijerica. Lijerica player: John Lovric
Lindjo-Poskocica: Performed in villages and towns in the Dubrovnik Region. Vela Luka’s poskocica is from the village of Doli, high above the Adriatic Sea. Poskocica is danced to the voice of the lijerica, a three-string instrument. Lijerica player: John Lovric
